Short to Medium-Term Mine Planning Engineer

Osino Resources, in partnership with Shanjin International, is recruiting a Short to Medium-Term Mine Planning Engineer for its Twin Hills Gold Mine in Karibib. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced mining engineers with strong expertise in mine planning, production scheduling, pit optimisation, and mine design. The successful candidate will develop short- and medium-term mine plans, optimise pit designs, monitor production performance, prepare production forecasts, and work closely with drilling, blasting, and operations teams to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest safety standards. Whether you have experience as a Mine Planning Engineer, Mining Engineer, Production Engineer, Open Pit Mining Engineer, Mine Design Engineer, Drill and Blast Engineer, Mining Project Engineer, Planning Engineer, Mining Operations Engineer, or Mine Scheduler, this role provides an outstanding opportunity within a growing gold mining operation. About the Role Develop practical mine plans and production schedules while ensuring efficient extraction, cost optimisation, and compliance with operational and environmental requirements. Key Responsibilities * Develop short- and medium-term mine plans. * Design mining phases, pushbacks, benches, ramps, haul roads, and extraction sequences. * Prepare detailed mining schedules. * Optimise pit designs and mining sequences. * Balance ore and waste movement. * Monitor production against planned targets. * Analyse production variances. * Collaborate with drilling and blasting engineers. * Prepare production forecasts and mining budgets. * Ensure compliance with operational, geotechnical, environmental, and safety standards. Minimum Requirements * Grade 12. * Degree in Mining Engineering. * 5–7 years’ mining experience. * At least 4 years in Mine Planning. * Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik, MineSched, Vulcan, Surpac, Datamine, Hexagon MinePlan or similar. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
