Senior Primary Phase Teacher

Karibib Private School is seeking a passionate and dedicated educator for the Senior Primary Phase. The successful candidate will teach Life Skills for Grades 4–7 and support literacy development through EGRA training competencies in both Afrikaans and English. The role also includes participation in remedial teaching, sports coaching, and extracurricular activities within the school environment. Key Responsibilities: * Teach Life Skills for Grades 4–7 * Deliver lessons in English medium instruction * Support early grade reading and literacy development * Teach Afrikaans as a second language in the Junior Primary Phase * Participate in remedial teaching programmes * Assist with sports coaching and extracurricular activities * Maintain effective classroom management and learner support Minimum Requirements: * Appropriate 3 or 4-year tertiary teaching qualification (NQF Level 6 or 7) * EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment) training competency in Afrikaans and English * Qualified to teach Afrikaans as a second language * Computer literacy * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Skills: * Classroom management * Learner engagement and development * Literacy education * Team collaboration * Sports coaching and extracurricular participation Additional Information: * Duty assumption date: 01 June 2026 * Previously disadvantaged people and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply
