IT Technician

Osino Gold Exploration and Mining is looking for IT Technicians to join the Twin Hills Gold Mine Site in Karibib, Namibia. Two permanent positions are available. The successful candidates will provide technical support for computers, networks, software and IT equipment used across the mining operation. Responsibilities: - Install, configure and perform basic maintenance of computers, printers and other IT equipment - Provide first-line IT support to employees - Assist users with the installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows, Microsoft Office, email and other software - Resolve common IT issues and escalate complex problems when required - Assist with IT asset management, equipment registration and inventory checks - Monitor local area networks, Wi-Fi connectivity, routers and switches - Perform routine data backups and assist with restoring lost files - Update antivirus and firewall software - Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware, equipment, spare parts, software and licences Requirements: - Grade 12 - Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field from an NQA-recognised institution - At least 3 years' experience in IT support, desktop support or small-business network administration - Experience in mining, manufacturing or remote-site IT is preferred - International certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certification are an advantage - Valid driver's licence - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Valid Certificate of Conduct required at the time of interview
