About the Position
K Neumayer Civil Contractors is looking for an experienced Structural Supervisor to oversee structural construction activities on major projects in Swakopmund and Karibib. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising structural and steelwork activities, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, maintaining quality standards, and driving safe project execution.
This role is ideal for a disciplined construction professional with strong leadership skills, experience managing work-at-heights operations, and the ability to coordinate lifting activities while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise structural and steel construction activities on site.
* Coordinate structural installation and assembly works.
* Ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications.
* Monitor work-at-heights activities and enforce safety procedures.
* Coordinate lifting operations and interface with crane teams.
* Ensure compliance with project quality standards and inspection requirements.
* Monitor productivity and progress against project schedules.
* Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
* Prepare site reports and progress updates.
* Coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and project stakeholders.
* Identify and resolve construction issues promptly.
* Support project close-out and quality handover activities.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related built environment qualification.
Experience
* Minimum 3–5 years of Quantity Surveying experience in construction, civil, mining, or industrial projects.
* Proven experience in measurements, valuations, variations, and cost reporting.
* Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects will be advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
* Construction contracts
* Scope management and control
* Commercial documentation
* Cost reporting and budgeting
* Project measurement systems
* Quantity surveying principles
* Construction project administration
Software Skills
Proficiency in:
* Microsoft Excel
* Measurement and reporting systems
* Cost reporting templates
* CCS/Candy or similar QS software (advantageous)
