Civil Supervisor

About the Position K Neumayer Civil Contractors is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Supervisor to oversee civil construction activities on major projects in Swakopmund and Karibib. This role is ideal for a disciplined site leader with strong supervisory experience, excellent reporting skills, and a commitment to quality, productivity, and workplace safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating civil construction teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and maintaining high standards of execution across all site activities. Key Responsibilities * Supervise daily civil construction activities on site. * Lead and coordinate construction crews to ensure productivity targets are achieved. * Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and approved procedures. * Monitor quality standards and enforce compliance requirements. * Implement and maintain Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) controls. * Track project progress and report on daily activities. * Manage timesheets, checklists, and site documentation. * Coordinate with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. * Identify and resolve construction-related issues efficiently. * Promote a safe and productive work environment. Minimum Requirements Qualifications * Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in: * Civil Engineering * Civil Construction * Construction Management * Or a related civil discipline OR * Grade 12 (NSSC) minimum qualification with relevant experience. Experience * Minimum 5 years of civil construction experience. * At least 2 years in a supervisory role. * Proven experience on construction sites and infrastructure projects. * Ability to supervise teams and manage daily site operations effectively. Technical Skills * Ability to read and interpret: * Engineering drawings * Technical specifications * Method statements * Strong understanding of: * HSE requirements * Site rules and procedures * Permit systems * Construction quality standards Administrative Skills * Daily reporting and progress tracking. * Timesheet management. * Site checklist completion. * Construction documentation and record keeping.
