Job Overview ConsoAV is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeman to join its operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing company equipment, maintaining inventory records, preparing equipment for events and installations, and supporting warehouse operations. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in warehousing, inventory management, logistics, or stores administration. Experience within the audio-visual, sound, staging, or events industry will be highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Equipment Management * Receive, issue, and track company equipment. * Maintain accurate inventory and stock records. * Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits. * Monitor equipment movement and availability. Equipment Preparation * Prepare equipment for events, conferences, and installations. * Ensure equipment is properly packed, labeled, and dispatched. * Verify equipment condition before and after use. Warehouse Operations * Inspect returned equipment and report damages or shortages. * Keep the store clean, organized, secure, and compliant with company procedures. * Assist with loading, unloading, and transportation of equipment. * Support general warehouse and logistics activities. Record Keeping & Reporting * Maintain inventory databases and stock control systems. * Record equipment allocations, returns, and maintenance requirements. * Assist with stock reconciliation and reporting processes. Minimum Requirements Education * Grade 12 (NSSC) or equivalent qualification. Experience * 1–2 years of experience in: * Warehousing * Stores Management * Inventory Control * Logistics Operations Technical Knowledge * Basic computer literacy. * Stock control and inventory management knowledge. * Understanding of warehouse procedures. * Knowledge of audio-visual equipment is advantageous. Added Advantage Experience in: * Sound systems * Audio-visual equipment * Lighting systems * Video equipment * Staging and event production Skills & Competencies * Strong organizational skills. * Excellent record-keeping abilities. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Honest, trustworthy, and dependable. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Physically fit and capable of moving equipment. * Ability to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays when required. * Strong problem-solving and time-management skills. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with any of the following will have an advantage: * Valid driver’s licence. * Experience in the events industry. * Experience handling technical or electronic equipment. * Previous exposure to conference and event logistics.
