Finance Manager

Desert Air Namibia is seeking a highly organized and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the company’s financial operations and support strategic business decision-making. This leadership role is responsible for financial control, budgeting, payroll oversight, financial reporting, compliance, taxation, and financial planning within a dynamic aviation environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the organization. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting * Oversee all financial control functions including payments, reconciliations, invoicing, accounting entries, VAT, and taxation. * Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and management reports. * Monitor financial performance and provide insights to senior management. * Support executive decision-making through financial analysis and reporting. Budgeting & Planning * Develop and manage annual budgets. * Lead forecasting and financial planning activities. * Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities. * Analyze financial trends and business performance indicators. Payroll & Compliance * Oversee payroll administration and related financial processes. * Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory regulations. * Maintain accurate financial records and audit readiness. * Manage taxation obligations and reporting requirements. Business Support * Provide strategic financial guidance to management. * Assist in evaluating investments, projects, and operational initiatives. * Support organizational growth through sound financial management practices. Minimum Requirements Education * Relevant qualification in: * Accounting * Finance * Management Accounting * Commerce * Or a related financial discipline Experience * Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accounting role. * Strong background in financial management and reporting. * Experience with budgeting, forecasting, payroll, taxation, and compliance. * Aviation industry experience will be an added advantage. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls. * Proficiency in accounting software systems. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. * Financial analysis and reporting expertise. * Understanding of taxation, VAT, and statutory compliance requirements.
