Forklift Driver

Medusalem Gravestones & Investment CC is seeking qualified and experienced Forklift Drivers for two available positions at the Olukonda Factory in Ondangwa. The role involves the safe operation of forklifts for loading, unloading, transporting and positioning granite, marble and other heavy materials used within the factory environment. Candidates should have practical forklift operating experience and demonstrate strong awareness of workplace safety and responsible material handling. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Safely operate forklifts for the loading, unloading and movement of granite, marble, materials and other factory goods. • Load and offload materials from trucks and move them to designated storage or production areas. • Transport heavy materials safely throughout the factory and yard while following established operating procedures. • Position materials accurately to support production, stock and logistics activities. • Conduct daily forklift inspections before and during operations. • Identify and report mechanical defects, equipment problems and workplace safety issues. • Ensure proper handling and storage of granite, marble and other heavy materials to minimise damage and workplace risks. • Comply with factory health and safety procedures and established forklift operating requirements. • Maintain the forklift and surrounding work areas in a clean and safe condition. • Work effectively with production, stock and logistics teams to support efficient movement of materials throughout the operation. Requirements: • Valid forklift licence or certificate. • Previous forklift operating experience, preferably within a manufacturing, construction, stone-processing or related industrial environment. • Grade 12 certificate will be an added advantage. • Valid driver's licence will be an added advantage. • Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures. • Ability to safely handle and transport heavy materials. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Responsible, safety-conscious and dependable approach to equipment operation.
