Ongwediva Medipark Private Hospital is seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. The successful candidate will work closely with medical practitioners, nursing staff, and patients to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care while supporting the day-to-day operations of the hospital pharmacy. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medicines, monitoring stock levels, advising patients on prescribed medication, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and professional standards. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to quality patient care within a dynamic hospital environment. Key Responsibilities * Dispense medicines accurately and efficiently on a daily basis. * Monitor pharmacy stock levels and ensure adequate inventory availability. * Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products. * Conduct regular stock checks and quarterly stock takes. * Review prescriptions for suitability, dosage accuracy, potential side effects, and compliance with treatment guidelines. * Provide medication counselling and advice to patients. * Work closely with doctors and nursing staff to optimize patient treatment outcomes. * Supervise pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to professional standards. * Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation. Requirements * Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree. * Registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (Pharmacy Council) as a Pharmacist. * Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and medication management. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced healthcare environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
