Auto Electrician

Lewcor is recruiting an experienced Auto Electrician to join its workshop team in Oranjemund. This opportunity is ideal for qualified tradespeople with strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and heavy mining equipment experience who are committed to delivering safe, high-quality maintenance and repair services. The successful candidate will diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mining equipment, carry out preventative maintenance, inspect machinery, complete service records, and ensure equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational. Whether you have worked as an Auto Electrician, Heavy Equipment Electrician, Mining Electrician, Diesel Auto Electrician, Equipment Technician, Workshop Electrician, Plant Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, HME Electrician, or Field Service Technician, this position offers an excellent opportunity within the mining and construction industry. Key Responsibilities * Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on heavy mining equipment. * Conduct daily inspections and fault diagnosis. * Complete maintenance checklists and service reports. * Maintain high standards of workmanship. * Ensure workshop safety procedures are followed. * Support equipment availability and operational efficiency. * Troubleshoot electrical systems. * Carry out preventative maintenance. * Maintain workshop housekeeping. * Work closely with the maintenance team. Minimum Requirements * Recognized Trade Diploma (N3) with Red Seal. * Valid Code B/08 Driver’s Licence. * Minimum 5 years’ post-trade experience on heavy mining equipment. * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. * Experience with CAT, Liebherr, Atlas Copco, John Deere or Hitachi equipment is advantageous. * Valid Namibian ID. * Valid Certificate of Conduct not older than six months.
