The successful candidate will supervise Work Integrated Learning (WIL) trainees, provide practical training in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance, while promoting safe working practices and assessing trainee performance. Whether you have experience as a Maintenance Mentor, Building Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance Technician, General Maintenance Technician, Trades Instructor, Maintenance Trainer, Building Technician, Property Maintenance Officer, or Maintenance Foreman, this role offers an opportunity to mentor the next generation of skilled workers. Key Responsibilities * Mentor and supervise WIL trainees. * Provide practical training in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance. * Promote workplace health and safety practices. * Assess trainee performance. * Complete trainee logbooks and evaluations. * Demonstrate proper maintenance procedures. * Support skills development. * Maintain a safe working environment. * Assist with building maintenance projects. * Perform related maintenance duties as required. Minimum Requirements * Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Building Maintenance or a related trade. * Minimum 2 years’ relevant industry experience. * Mentoring or supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
