Tailor

Zion Group is seeking Tailors to join its operations in Oshakati. Six positions are available for candidates with practical tailoring and garment-making ability who can complete sewing, alteration and clothing-production tasks accurately and maintain good workmanship standards. Key Responsibilities: • Perform garment sewing, stitching and general tailoring work according to required measurements and specifications. • Take and interpret measurements accurately when preparing or altering garments. • Cut and prepare fabric for sewing and garment construction. • Carry out clothing alterations, adjustments and repairs as required. • Operate sewing machines and appropriate tailoring tools safely and effectively. • Inspect completed garments for stitching quality, measurements, finishing and overall appearance. • Maintain consistency and accuracy when producing or altering clothing items. • Handle fabrics, materials and tailoring equipment carefully to minimise damage and waste. • Maintain a clean and organised sewing and tailoring workspace. • Complete assigned tailoring work efficiently while maintaining appropriate quality standards. • Work cooperatively with other team members to support production requirements. Skills and Competencies: • Practical tailoring, sewing and garment-construction ability. • Ability to work accurately with measurements and fabrics. • Good attention to detail and workmanship. • Ability to use sewing equipment and tailoring tools appropriately. • Ability to follow garment specifications and complete assigned work efficiently. • Oshakati residents are preferred.
