Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist (HSE)

Katjaerua Incorporated, on behalf of Rust Resources UK, is seeking experienced Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Specialists (HSE) to support offshore and shore base operations within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices while promoting a strong culture of workplace safety and environmental responsibility. The role involves supporting offshore drilling and operational activities, conducting HSE monitoring and compliance processes, and ensuring safe operational practices across offshore and shore-based environments. Candidates must have extensive experience in senior HSE roles within the oil and gas sector, especially offshore operations. This position is best suited for highly experienced HSE professionals with strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work in demanding offshore environments while maintaining strict safety standards. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry standards * Support offshore and shore base operational safety activities * Promote workplace health, safety, and environmental awareness * Conduct HSE monitoring and compliance assessments * Maintain safety documentation and reporting procedures * Support safe offshore operational practices * Contribute to risk management and incident prevention initiatives Requirements: * Degree or tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field * Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent * Minimum 20 years documented HSE experience * Extensive offshore oil and gas industry experience * Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices * Two proven references demonstrating offshore experience * Physically fit and able to pass offshore medical assessments * Willingness to travel offshore and to shore base locations
