About the Position
K Neumayer Civil Contractors is seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Manager to lead large-scale construction projects in the Swakopmund and Karibib region. This is a senior site leadership role requiring strong construction delivery expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
The successful candidate will oversee project execution, workforce management, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with construction standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage construction site operations.
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within quality standards.
* Coordinate multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
* Oversee productivity, resource allocation, and operational performance.
* Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
* Manage construction reporting, planning controls, and project documentation.
* Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, permits, and site governance systems.
* Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and method statements.
* Enforce quality assurance procedures and prevent rework.
* Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, engineers, and project teams.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
* Relevant qualification in:
* Construction Management
* Civil Engineering
* Project Management
* Or a related field
Experience
* Minimum 8 years of construction and site experience.
* At least 3–5 years in a Construction Manager or senior site leadership role.
* Proven experience managing labour-intensive, high-output construction projects.
* Mining and industrial construction experience will be advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
* Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) compliance.
* Knowledge of construction permits and governance systems.
* Experience in project planning and construction controls.
* Strong construction reporting and productivity management skills.
* Cost control and budget awareness.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of quality management systems and construction best practices.
