SPAR is looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to oversee the daily operations of their kitchen staff in Swakopmund. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation, ordering supplies, scheduling shifts, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Applicants should have strong culinary and management experience together with excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
• Prepare recipes and costing
• Store food products according to health and safety regulations
• Retail systems training
• Customer service
• Hygiene, safety, housekeeping training, and food safety
• Control, manage, and order stock while calculating GP
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of kitchen and health & safety regulations
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure
