Manager

Formula Courier Services is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee its regional operations based in Swakopmund, Namibia. The position is responsible for operations and account management across Swakopmund, Henties Bay and the local mining industry, with a strong focus on sales growth, customer relationships, fleet management, financial control and regional operational performance. The successful candidate will manage the regional office and coordinate day-to-day courier and logistics operations while developing the company's client base and ensuring sustainable growth and profitability. This is a leadership position requiring experience in the mining industry, strong commercial awareness, people management ability and excellent communication and negotiation skills. Key Responsibilities: • Manage the regional office and oversee daily operational activities. • Generate targeted sales and increase the company's regional client base. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout Swakopmund, Henties Bay and the local mining sector. • Implement and coordinate cost-reduction programmes to improve operational efficiency and profitability. • Manage regional financial matters including cash, Proof of Delivery documentation and debtors. • Ensure Total Cost of Ownership methodologies are appropriately applied. • Establish and maintain effective customer liaison and promptly address customer requirements. • Manage regional human resources matters including employment contracts, employee performance appraisals and disciplinary processes. • Compile and submit weekly and monthly management reports. • Manage regional fleet operations including vehicle servicing, tracking, scheduling and MDC charges. • Manage agreements involving mining companies and contractors. • Handle customer complaints and claims professionally and ensure appropriate resolution. • Represent Formula Courier Services in regional public-relations matters. • Support sustainable regional business growth while maintaining operational and financial performance. Minimum Requirements: • Grade 12 together with a diploma or degree in a related field. • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar management position. • Experience within the mining industry is required. • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. • Knowledge of Parcel Perfect, Vinity and You Track will be an added advantage. • Self-driven and motivated approach to work. • Strong teamwork capabilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills. • Ability and willingness to travel. • Valid Code B or BE driver's licence. • Namibian citizen.
