Electrical Engineering – Projects Technician

Shiimi Electrical Service & Construction CC is recruiting an experienced Electrical Engineering – Projects Technician with a strong background in heavy electrical maintenance, project management and petroleum-sector electrical systems. Key Responsibilities * Manage outstanding electrical projects to ensure timely completion. * Oversee design, construction and installation of electrical switchboards. * Design and program systems according to customer requirements. * Support oil and gas electrical projects. * Source project materials from suppliers. * Supervise material usage and management. * Support electrical plant and machinery installation. * Work on PLC programming and electrical control systems. * Participate in standby and weekend duties when required. Minimum Requirements * Electrical trade Diploma/Degree. * Project Management and/or relevant technical background. * Oil and gas certification where applicable. * Minimum 8 years’ experience in the electrical trade. * Heavy electrical maintenance experience. * Experience designing and installing electrical plant and machinery. * Petroleum service-sector experience. * PLC programming knowledge. * Knowledge of Siemens S7 and Eaton packages. * Written and contactable references.
