Diesel Mechanic

Wesbank Transport, a division of FP du Toit Transport Group, is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join its maintenance team in Walvis Bay. The successful candidate will service and repair transport equipment, diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, maintain heavy-duty vehicles, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while complying with company safety standards. About the Role Maintain and repair heavy transport vehicles and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient fleet operations. Key Responsibilities * Service and repair transport equipment and stackers. * Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults. * Perform preventative maintenance. * Maintain heavy-duty trucks and forklifts. * Ensure equipment reliability and safety. * Complete maintenance documentation. * Follow company health and safety procedures. * Support workshop operations. * Assist with breakdown repairs. * Perform additional maintenance duties as required. Minimum Requirements * Namibian citizen. * Valid Code CE driver’s licence. * Grade 12. * Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test completed). * Minimum 3 years’ diesel mechanic experience. * Experience with trucks, forklifts, and transport equipment. * Strong hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical knowledge. * Computer literacy and diagnostic skills. * Valid Police Clearance Certificate (not older than 3 months). * Good communication and teamwork skills.
