Electrical Engineering Electronics Instructor

Higher Institute of Technology is seeking a qualified Part-Time Electrical Engineering Electronics Instructor for its Walvis Bay workstation. The instructor will provide vocational education and practical skills training in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electronics at National Vocational Certificate Levels 1 to 3. The successful candidate will support learners in developing fundamental electrical and electronic engineering competencies through classroom instruction, demonstrations, practical exercises and competency assessments. Training should help learners understand electrical and electronic systems, components, safe working practices, fault identification and practical technical procedures relevant to vocational employment. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver theoretical and practical Electrical Engineering and Electronics training. • Prepare lesson plans and practical training activities for NVC Level 1 to Level 3 trainees. • Demonstrate electrical and electronics principles, equipment and technical procedures. • Guide learners during practical workshop activities. • Assess trainee competency and maintain accurate assessment records. • Participate in learner assessment and moderation processes. • Promote electrical safety and correct handling of technical equipment. • Support learners in developing practical problem-solving and technical skills. • Maintain training standards consistent with applicable NTA requirements. Minimum Requirements: • Relevant qualification specifically related to Electrical Engineering or Electronics. • TVET Instructor course or equivalent instructor training. • Minimum of 2 years' experience instructing, assessing and moderating trainees. • Experience assessing NTA trainees. • Candidates currently employed by other vocational training centres may apply for this part-time opportunity. Classes may be scheduled during the day, evenings from 17:00 and Saturdays from 09:00.
