Design & Technology Teacher – Lower & Upper Secondary

The International School of Walvis Bay is seeking an experienced Design & Technology Teacher to join its growing Cambridge International team. The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology from Key Stage 3 through AS and A Level. The ability to also teach Mathematics and ICT is considered an advantage. The role focuses on learner-centred teaching, creativity, practical problem-solving, Cambridge examination preparation and student development. Key Responsibilities * Teach Cambridge Design & Technology from Key Stage 3 through AS and A Level. * Deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons. * Encourage creativity and critical thinking. * Develop students’ practical problem-solving abilities. * Prepare students for Cambridge examinations. * Support analytical thinking and academic rigour. * Monitor and assess learner performance. * Prepare reports on student progress. * Collaborate with teaching colleagues. * Support cross-curricular learning. * Participate in enrichment activities. * Contribute to extracurricular and wider school initiatives. * Maintain high professional teaching standards. Minimum Requirements * Recognised Bachelor of Education degree with Design & Technology as a major, Secondary Phase; or * Bachelor’s degree majoring in Design & Technology or a related field plus a Teaching Diploma or equivalent international teaching qualification. * Minimum 2 years’ Design & Technology teaching experience from Key Stage 3 to A Level. * Cambridge experience preferred. * Ability to teach Mathematics and ICT is an advantage. * Strong classroom-management skills. * Strong communication skills. * Excellent spoken and written English. * Professional commitment to academic excellence and learner development.
