Bunkering Operator (Fixed-Term)

Cargo Carriers (Pty) Limited is hiring three fixed-term Bunkering Operators for their Walvis Bay branch. The successful candidates will report to the Distribution Supervisor and assist with harbour cross pumping operations, fuel transfer procedures, equipment inspections, and safety compliance within the fuel and logistics environment. Duties & Responsibilities: • Handle harbour cross pumping operations from truck to vessel • Monitor fuel levels and ensure proper transfer procedures are followed • Inspect and maintain bunkering equipment, pumps, hoses, and safety gear • Report equipment malfunctions and operational issues to the Supervisor • Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements • Comply with SHEQ rules and procedures • Carry out operational instructions from the Supervisor • Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements: • Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate • 1–2 years of experience preferred • Previous experience in fuel bunkering, transportation, or logistics is an advantage • Valid driver’s licence • Ability to speak, read, and write in English • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Ability to prioritize and schedule work effectively • Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move equipment Additional Information: • Competitive market-related remuneration package offered • Equal employment opportunity employer
