Reporting & Compliance Manager

Venmar Fishing (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Reporting & Compliance Manager to join its Walvis Bay operations. This newly created role will strengthen the group’s financial reporting, tax compliance, and governance functions while supporting strategic financial management. The successful candidate will report to senior finance leadership and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, integrity, and statutory compliance across group operations. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and review annual financial statements for the group and subsidiaries • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations • Manage group consolidations and ensure complete financial reporting • Oversee tax compliance including corporate income tax, VAT, and submissions • Act as primary liaison with NamRA for tax matters and timely filings • Engage with the Ministry of Fisheries on regulatory compliance matters • Coordinate external audits and ensure timely completion • Strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks • Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams • Support the General Manager: Finance with reporting and strategic initiatives Qualifications: • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification • Minimum 5–8 years relevant experience in reporting, audit, or compliance roles • Strong knowledge of Namibian tax legislation (VAT, levies, duties, etc.) • Proven experience preparing Annual Financial Statements to required standards • Experience with group consolidations • Strong ERP systems knowledge (Pastel Evolution or similar preferred) • Advanced Excel skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure • Namibian citizen
