Reception 2 Teacher

The International School of Walvis Bay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Reception 2 Teacher to join its Cambridge International team. The successful teacher will plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons aligned with the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum while supporting children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver engaging play-based lessons. * Follow the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum. * Support children’s social and emotional development. * Promote physical and cognitive development. * Create a safe, caring and inclusive classroom. * Monitor and assess learner progress. * Maintain accurate learner records. * Provide regular feedback to parents. * Collaborate with teaching colleagues. * Support cross-curricular learning and enrichment activities. * Participate in extracurricular activities. * Contribute to wider school initiatives. Requirements * Recognised teaching qualification in Early Childhood Development, Foundation Phase or a related field. * Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience with Reception, Kindergarten or Early Years learners. * Cambridge Early Years Curriculum knowledge is advantageous. * Caring, patient and creative approach to young children. * Strong classroom-management and communication skills. * Excellent spoken and written English. * Commitment to academic excellence and learner development.
