The International School of Walvis Bay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Commerce Teacher to join its Cambridge International teaching team. The successful candidate will teach Accounting, Business and Economics across lower and upper secondary levels and prepare learners for Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level examinations. The role includes classroom teaching, assessment, learner mentorship, academic support and participation in the wider school community. Key Responsibilities * Teach Accounting, Business and Economics following the Cambridge curriculum. * Prepare and deliver lessons for secondary learners. * Help students apply commercial concepts to real-world situations. * Develop critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities. * Prepare learners for Cambridge examinations. * Develop analytical writing and academic skills. * Provide academic support and mentorship to senior learners. * Monitor and assess student performance. * Maintain accurate reports on student progress. * Collaborate with teaching colleagues. * Support cross-curricular learning and enrichment. * Participate in extracurricular activities. * Contribute to collaborative school initiatives. * Maintain high professional and academic standards. Minimum Requirements * Recognised Bachelor of Education degree with Commerce as a major, Secondary Phase; or * Bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounting, Business, Economics, Commerce or a related field together with a Teaching Diploma or equivalent international teaching qualification. * Minimum 3 years’ Commerce teaching experience at IGCSE and/or AS/A Level. * Cambridge teaching experience preferred. * Strong classroom-management skills. * Strong communication skills. * Excellent spoken and written English. * Professional commitment to academic excellence and learner development.
