Auto Workshop Manager

Asco Car Hire is seeking an experienced Auto Workshop Manager to lead its busy workshop operations in Windhoek. The successful candidate will oversee workshop operations, supervise mechanics and technicians, manage vehicle maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, monitor productivity, enforce health and safety standards, and ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest quality standards. About the Role Lead the daily operations of the workshop while ensuring high-quality vehicle maintenance, efficient workflow management, and exceptional operational performance. Key Responsibilities * Lead, supervise, and motivate workshop staff. * Plan and allocate daily job cards. * Monitor workshop workflow and turnaround times. * Ensure repairs and maintenance meet quality standards. * Coordinate parts ordering and workshop consumables. * Approve job cards, service records, and workshop reports. * Monitor preventative maintenance schedules. * Oversee vehicle inspections and damage reports. * Manage workshop staff schedules. * Respond to vehicle breakdown callouts. * Maintain vehicle service histories and maintenance logs. * Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards. * Identify staff training and development needs. Minimum Requirements * Qualified Mechanic. * Minimum 10 years’ hands-on mechanical experience, including management experience. * Proven leadership and team management skills. * Strong organisational and workflow management abilities. * Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written). * Valid driver’s licence and own transport. * Must reside in Windhoek. * Willingness to work weekends and public holidays. * Experience with Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser vehicles is advantageous.
