About the Position
Tryline Hotel is looking for an experienced Senior Chef to lead kitchen operations and maintain the highest standards of food preparation, hygiene, and service quality. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in menu planning, staff development, and culinary excellence within the hotel’s food service operations.
This role is particularly suited to a chef with extensive experience in Chinese cuisine, including Cantonese dishes, hot pot, seafood specialties, soups, and noodle-based cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
* Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
* Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff.
* Develop menus and culinary programs.
* Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Manage kitchen equipment, tools, and supplies.
* Coordinate food production and service delivery.
* Maintain efficient kitchen workflows and inventory control.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
* Culinary Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred.
Experience
* Minimum 8 years of kitchen experience.
* Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
* Experience training and motivating kitchen teams.
Skills & Knowledge
* Fluent in Mandarin.
* Strong understanding of Chinese cuisine.
* Expertise in:
* Cantonese cuisine
* Hot Pot
* Seafood dishes
* Noodle dishes
* Soups
* Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food production.
* Computer literacy required.
