Glass Cutter & Fitter

Burbridge Glass CC is seeking a Glass Cutter & Fitter to join its team in Windhoek. This practical position is focused on the accurate cutting, preparation, handling and fitting of glass for customer and project requirements. The successful candidate should be comfortable performing hands-on glass work, taking accurate measurements and completing glass fitting tasks carefully and professionally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Cut glass accurately according to required measurements and specifications. • Measure glass dimensions carefully before cutting and fitting. • Prepare glass pieces for installation and ensure correct sizing and fitment. • Carry out glass fitting and installation work at required locations. • Handle glass carefully during cutting, preparation, transportation and installation to minimise damage and breakage. • Use appropriate glass cutting and fitting tools safely and correctly. • Inspect measurements and completed fitment work to ensure accuracy and proper alignment. • Assist with the preparation of glass and related materials required for fitting work. • Maintain an organised and safe working environment when handling glass, tools and fitting materials. • Follow workplace safety practices while carrying out glass cutting and installation activities. • Travel to customer or project locations when required to complete glass fitting work. • Work responsibly and professionally when completing glass cutting and fitment assignments. REQUIREMENTS • Practical ability to perform glass cutting and fitment work. • Ability to take accurate measurements and work carefully with glass materials. • Good attention to detail and accuracy when cutting and fitting glass. • Ability to handle tools and materials responsibly and safely. • Must be able to carry out practical, hands-on installation work. • Valid driver's licence. • Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a practical glass cutting and fitting team.
