Maintenance Controller

Joseph & Snyman, a leading real estate and property management company, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Controller to oversee the maintenance management of buildings and company facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance operations, supervising contractors, monitoring property conditions, and ensuring that all facilities remain operational, safe, and well maintained. The role includes managing maintenance schedules, coordinating vendor contracts, handling repairs and inspections, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety and environmental standards. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge in construction, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general property maintenance. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills who can work under pressure and manage maintenance projects efficiently. Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate and oversee building maintenance operations * Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors and contractors * Monitor maintenance costs and operational budgets * Schedule and supervise maintenance and repair work * Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment * Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations * Prepare maintenance reports and documentation * Support contractors and external service providers * Monitor building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and machinery Requirements: * Namibian citizen * Grade 12 certificate * Qualification in facility management or business administration is an advantage * Minimum 5 years relevant maintenance experience * Knowledge of ISO standards and maintenance best practices * Supervisory experience * Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook * Fluent in English and Afrikaans * Valid driver’s license Skills & Attributes: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Good time management and organizational abilities * Self-motivated and disciplined * Ability to work under pressure * Team player with professional conduct 📍 Physical Address: 10 Andimba Toivo Ya Toivo Street, Windhoek, Namibia
