Liberty Life Namibia, part of the Standard Bank Group, is seeking a Managing Director to lead the Liberty team in Namibia. The role is responsible for driving the organisation's overall strategic, financial and operational performance while delivering sustainable growth, strong governance and compliance, and building a high-performing, data-enabled and customer-centred organisation aligned with Group objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and execute the strategic direction of Liberty Life Namibia in alignment with Group objectives and sustainable business growth - Hold full accountability for financial performance including profit and loss, revenue growth and cost management - Drive the formulation and implementation of forward-looking business models and transformation initiatives - Drive digital transformation, innovation and data-enabled decision-making across the organisation - Build digital awareness and capabilities to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency and business growth - Provide executive leadership to the organisation and build a high-performance culture and capable leadership team - Oversee organisational design and performance-management frameworks to ensure operational effectiveness - Ensure strong corporate governance, regulatory compliance and ethical business practices - Act as the primary interface with the Board, regulators including NAMFISA, and key external stakeholders - Build and maintain strategic relationships to strengthen market position and stakeholder confidence - Champion customer centricity and innovation across all business operations - Promote and uphold the Liberty brand, values and reputation in the market Competencies Required: - Strategic planning - Operations management - Stakeholder engagement - People management - Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking - Operations risk management - Digital leadership and digital transformation - Deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks including NAMFISA and financial-services regulation Education & Requirements: - Three-year Bachelor's degree in Business, Chartered Accountant designation or equivalent qualification - Master of Business Administration would be an advantage - 10 years of experience in a similar environment - At least 3–5 years of executive-management experience in a life-insurance or pension-fund environment - Strong executive leadership, financial-management, governance and strategic-management capability
