Novel Motor Company, one of Namibia's established companies in the motor industry, is seeking an experienced Service Manager for its Windhoek operations. The position is responsible for managing workshop resources, service performance, customer satisfaction, departmental efficiency and the effective coordination of employees within the automotive service environment. The successful candidate should combine workshop management experience with strong customer-handling, leadership, planning and operational management skills. Responsibilities: - Manage and optimise workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets and operational objectives - Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated effectively to relevant members of the service department - Monitor individual employee and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are achieved - Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources - Plan and distribute work among workshop employees according to available skills and operational requirements - Identify individual training and development needs and support the development of personnel - Manage communication and coordination between the workshop and service reception regarding customer vehicle progress - Resolve customer concerns and service-related issues in accordance with agreed standards and customer expectations - Ensure employees understand and comply with applicable brand service requirements - Maintain high customer satisfaction standards throughout the service process - Monitor workshop productivity, operational performance and service quality - Support efficient scheduling and allocation of workshop workloads - Maintain effective communication with customers and internal service personnel - Contribute to departmental performance, profitability and continuous improvement within the automotive after-sales environment Requirements: - Grade 12 - Minimum 5 years of experience in a workshop management environment - Managerial certification - Valid driver's licence - Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and correct service procedures - Excellent customer-handling skills - Ability to identify and offer appropriate solutions according to customer needs - Computer literacy - Previous knowledge of Automate and BSI will be preferred - Ability to manage a significant workload effectively - Ability to work successfully as part of a team and independently - Strong leadership, planning and workshop-management capabilities - Good communication and problem-solving skills Benefits: - Competitive remuneration package - Opportunities for growth and career advancement within the group
