Job Overview
An opportunity is available for an experienced Diagnostic Radiographer to join a healthcare team in Windhoek. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, support patient care, and contribute to efficient radiology department operations.
This position is suitable for a highly skilled radiographer with experience across multiple imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging
* Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including:
* X-rays
* CT Scans
* MRI Scans
* Fluoroscopic procedures
* Conduct both basic and advanced ultrasound examinations.
* Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate patient positioning.
Patient Care
* Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
* Explain imaging procedures to patients.
* Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
* Assist patients throughout the imaging process.
Technical Operations
* Operate and maintain imaging equipment.
* Use PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
* Work with Digital Radiography (DR) systems.
* Ensure imaging records are properly stored and managed.
Administration & Reporting
* Support patient administration processes.
* Review and work with radiologists’ reports.
* Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
* Contribute to departmental quality standards and workflow efficiency.
Leadership
* Function in a senior radiographer capacity when required.
* Support junior staff and contribute to department operations.
* Work independently while maintaining professional standards.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
* Minimum of 6 years’ experience in both private and public healthcare sectors.
* Strong experience in diagnostic imaging services.
* Exposure to ultrasound departments.
Technical Skills
* X-ray imaging expertise.
* CT scan operation experience.
* MRI imaging experience.
* Fluoroscopy procedures knowledge.
* Ultrasound imaging skills.
* PACS system proficiency.
* Digital Radiography (DR) system knowledge.
