Forklift Handling is seeking an experienced Forklift / Material Handling Sales Representative in Windhoek, Namibia. The position focuses on developing new business-to-business accounts, selling forklift and material-handling solutions, maintaining customer relationships and supporting clients with equipment, rental and maintenance requirements. The successful candidate should combine strong outside sales experience with technical aptitude and an understanding of heavy machinery and material-handling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new business opportunities within the assigned geographic territory
- Conduct cold calling and secure new B2B customer accounts
- Perform site surveys and understand customer material-handling requirements
- Use a consultative sales approach to recommend suitable equipment and services
- Present quotations, lease options, rental agreements and long-term maintenance service packages
- Negotiate and close sales opportunities
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
- Handle customer and business correspondence including emails, telephone calls and letters
- Schedule and coordinate customer meetings
- Support daily sales administration and operational activities
- Work closely with internal parts and service departments to ensure seamless customer support
- Assist in ensuring customer fleets remain operational through coordination with relevant departments
- Maintain company databases and ensure sales and customer information remains accurate
- Manage multiple sales opportunities and customer requirements simultaneously
- Build long-term relationships with commercial customers in the forklift and material-handling market
Requirements:
- 30 years of age or older
- Minimum 2 years of successful outside B2B sales experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to quickly understand complex equipment specifications
- Good knowledge of heavy machinery products
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities
- High school diploma required
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
