We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Tour Consultant to design and sell unforgettable travel experiences across Namibia and neighboring Southern African destinations. You will handle the entire client journey, from crafting custom itineraries for fly-drive and guided tours to managing bookings and providing on-the-road support. Your deep knowledge of Namibian geography, lodges, and logistics will ensure seamless, high-quality luxury and mid-range travel packages.
Key Responsibilities:
Itinerary Design: Craft personalized, creative itineraries tailored to diverse client preferences, budgets, and travel styles.
Supplier Booking: Reserve accommodations, vehicle rentals, charter flights, and activities with trusted local operators.
Client Relations: Manage direct and B2B agent inquiries professionally via email, phone, and video calls.
Costing & Invoicing: Calculate accurate tour pricing, generate invoices, and monitor payment schedules using tour management software.
Quality Control: Verify all booking vouchers, travel documents, and custom digital itineraries before client arrivals.
Crisis Management: Provide emergency logistical support for clients on the ground, handling flight delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route changes.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Diploma or Degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years working as a Tour Consultant within the Namibian inbound tourism sector.
Product Knowledge: Extensive, firsthand knowledge of Namibian destinations, route planning, road conditions, and accommodation standards.
System Skills: High proficiency in tour operator reservation platforms such as Tourplan, WETU, or similar software.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Geographical Expertise: Expert understanding of key Namibian routes, including seasonal accessibility for Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Damaraland, and Etosha National Park.
Communication: Flawless written and spoken English. Professional fluency in German, French, or Italian is a significant advantage.
Attention to Detail: Absolute accuracy in booking dates, room configurations, dietary requirements, and logistical transfers.
Problem Solving: Ability to think quickly and calmly under pressure when managing travel disruptions.
