DIRECTOR

The Museums Association of Namibia (MAN), a national NGO supporting museums and heritage institutions, is seeking a Director to lead operations, strategy, and sector development across Namibia. ⸻ 💰 Salary & Benefits * N$650,000 – N$700,000 per year * Medical Aid (50% contribution) * 13th cheque (included) ⸻ 🛠️ Responsibilities * Lead overall management and operations of MAN * Execute strategy, growth plans, and sector development * Develop museum programs, training, and funding initiatives * Build partnerships locally and internationally * Oversee AGM, member engagement, and representation * Manage budgets, funding, and financial accountability * Lead fundraising and donor relations * Represent MAN in official engagements and negotiations ⸻ 📌 Requirements * Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8+) in Museums, Heritage, Culture, History, or Education * Minimum 8 years experience (5+ in management) * Experience in NGO / non-profit sector * Fundraising and project management experience * Strong knowledge of arts, culture, and heritage sector * Training development experience * Code B Driver’s License * Proficiency in MS Office * Strong analytical & leadership skills * Willingness to travel * Namibian citizen or permanent resident * Fluent in English (local languages advantage)
