Flight Follower & Support

Desert Air is recruiting a Flight Follower & Support professional to join its Windhoek operations team. This opportunity is ideal for aviation professionals with flight operations knowledge who are passionate about supporting safe and efficient aircraft operations. The successful candidate will monitor aircraft from departure to arrival, coordinate operational communication with pilots and stakeholders, assist with flight planning and flight plans, monitor weather and NOTAMs, and participate in the flight-following duty roster. Whether you have worked as a Flight Follower, Flight Operations Officer, Flight Dispatcher, Aviation Operations Officer, Operations Controller, Flight Coordinator, Aviation Support Officer, Flight Planning Officer, Airline Operations Assistant, or Air Operations Controller, this role offers an excellent opportunity in Namibia’s aviation industry. Key Responsibilities * Monitor aircraft from departure to arrival. * Coordinate communication with pilots and stakeholders. * Assist with flight planning and flight plans. * Monitor weather and NOTAM information. * Assist with luggage calculations where required. * Participate in after-hours duty roster. * Support safe flight operations. * Maintain operational records. * Coordinate daily flight activities. * Ensure operational compliance. Minimum Requirements * Namibian citizen. * Valid Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or Flight Follower/Flight Operations Officer qualification. * CPL studies are advantageous. * Valid driver’s licence and own transport. * Must reside in Windhoek. * Fluent in English (Afrikaans and/or German advantageous).
