Welwitchia University is inviting applications for a Full-Time Lecturer within the School of Law at its Windhoek Campus. The position is focused on teaching and learning, academic research and publication, community engagement, student research supervision and contribution to the continued development and quality of the university's law programmes. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver teaching and learning activities within the School of Law - Contribute to research and academic publications - Participate in community-engagement activities - Supervise student research and provide effective academic mentorship - Use information and communication technologies to support teaching, learning, research and academic administration - Contribute to curriculum development and academic programme improvement - Participate in quality-assurance activities and academic programme reviews - Maintain high standards of ethical conduct and professionalism - Remain informed about contemporary legal issues and developments in legal education - Participate in continuous professional and academic development Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: - Master of Laws (LLM) degree from a recognised and accredited institution in a Roman-Dutch common law jurisdiction at NQF Level 9 - Bachelor of Laws Honours (LLB) degree from a recognised and accredited institution at NQF Level 8 - At least 2 years of teaching experience with 3 years of research or legal-practice experience - Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education will be an added advantage - Doctor of Laws (LLD) or PhD in Law from a recognised and accredited institution will be an added advantage Required Competencies: - Ability to supervise student research and provide effective academic mentorship - Proficiency in the use of ICTs to support teaching, learning, research and administration - Commitment to ethical conduct, professionalism and continuous professional development - Ability to contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and academic programme review - Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary legal issues and legal-education practices
