Higher Institute of Technology is inviting applications for a qualified Part-Time Financial Services Insurance Intermediary Instructor at its Windhoek workstation. The instructor will provide vocational training for the National Vocational Certificate Financial Services programme, specialising in Insurance Intermediary at Level 4.
The successful candidate will provide structured theoretical and practical instruction designed to develop learners' knowledge of financial services and insurance intermediary practices. The instructor will be expected to guide trainees through relevant vocational competencies, assess learner performance and support the development of professional skills required within insurance and financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver theoretical and practical Financial Services and Insurance Intermediary instruction at NVC Level 4.
• Prepare lessons, training materials and competency-based learning activities.
• Explain relevant insurance intermediary and financial services concepts to trainees.
• Develop learners' practical understanding of professional financial-services operations.
• Conduct trainee assessments and maintain accurate learner records.
• Participate in assessment and moderation activities.
• Provide guidance, feedback and academic support to learners.
• Encourage professional, ethical and customer-focused workplace practices.
• Ensure teaching and assessment activities follow applicable NVC and NTA requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
• Relevant specific qualification in Financial Services, Insurance Intermediary or the applicable vocational field.
• TVET Instructor course or equivalent instructor training.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience instructing, assessing and moderating trainees.
• Experience assessing NTA trainees.
• Trainers currently employed at other vocational training centres may also apply for this part-time opportunity.
Classes may be offered during the day, during evenings from 17:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00.
