Forklift Handling is seeking a Forklift / Material Handling Sales Representative in Windhoek. This role is suited to an experienced B2B sales professional with strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of heavy machinery and the ability to build lasting commercial customer relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, supporting existing clients and promoting forklift and material-handling solutions within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, cold-call and secure new B2B accounts within the assigned geographic territory
- Identify opportunities to grow the company's customer base and machinery sales
- Conduct customer site surveys to understand operational and material-handling requirements
- Use a consultative selling approach to recommend appropriate equipment and services
- Present quotations, lease options, rental agreements and long-term maintenance service packages
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Handle customer correspondence including emails, telephone calls and letters
- Schedule and coordinate customer meetings
- Support daily administrative activities related to sales operations
- Collaborate with internal parts and service departments to provide seamless customer support
- Work closely with parts and service teams to help ensure client equipment fleets remain operational
- Maintain company databases and ensure customer and sales information remains accurate
- Follow up on prospective customers and commercial opportunities
- Support customer retention through responsive service and relationship management
- Contribute to achievement of sales targets and territory-growth objectives
Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Applicant must be 30 years of age or older
- At least 2 years of successful outside B2B sales experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand complex equipment specifications
- Good knowledge of heavy machinery products
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Strong presentation and relationship-building abilities
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Commercial mindset and ability to identify new sales opportunities
