Employment Type: Permanent Job Description: Star for Life (SFL), a non-profit organization focused on empowering young people through education and life skills programmes, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance/HR Officer to join its Namibia team. The successful candidate will support the finance department by managing financial records, payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, and statutory compliance while also assisting with HR-related administrative functions. This dual-role position requires someone with strong accounting knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial systems and confidential records. The candidate will work closely with management, suppliers, staff, and stakeholders to ensure smooth financial and operational processes within the organization. The ideal applicant should have experience in finance and HR administration, preferably within an NGO environment, and should be passionate about supporting impactful youth empowerment programmes. Key Responsibilities: * Manage bookkeeping, payroll processing, and reconciliations * Process supplier payments and payroll transactions * Prepare management accounts, budgets, donor reports, and cash flow forecasts * Maintain accurate accounting records and financial systems * Support audits and respond to audit queries * Monitor debtors, creditors, petty cash, and staff advances * Assist management with budgeting and financial planning * Ensure compliance with organizational financial procedures Requirements: * Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting * Minimum 2 years experience in a Finance/HR Officer role * Experience within an NGO environment is an advantage * Proficiency in Pastel Accounting * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Excellent organizational and confidentiality skills * Good English written and spoken skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
